Brief Comments: I agree the idea of a free press as a watchdog on the government, because there should be someone keep a watchful eye on the government.

There must be a watchdog on the government, so that people can know what the government is doing and how it is doing. Also, the government will make decisions in a more careful way because all the people are watching what they are doing.
